Teach Class
Course
CS1
Abstract
If you have a unit to teach that can be easily subdivided into separate parts that isn't too difficult, then this assignment can be used.
Create groups of students (probably 2-4) who are interested in teaching the class. Give them a handout or reading from the text that they are supposed to teach in advance. The students will then prepare a lesson based on the reading. Each student group will teach the class in a single class period. Then, the class will take a quiz based on the material. For the students teaching, their grade will be based upon the average grades on their section of the quiz. For students not teaching, their grade will be based on their own quiz.
